FA Cup Semi-Finals Lineup Confirmed

Four teams have fought their way into the Football Association (FA) Cup semi-finals after a gruelling weekend in England.

Coventry City walked away from their FA Cup quarter-final clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton on Saturday, 16 March, with a 3-2 win.

Newcastle were removed from the running later that same day, as they suffered a 2-0 loss to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

In a nail-biting thriller, Chelsea scored twice in stoppage time the following day to walk away with a 4-2 win over Leicester City at Stamford Bridge Stadium in London.

Liverpool fought valiantly during the final match of the weekend but unfortunately, their hosts, Manchester United, were able to secure their spot with a 4-3 victory at Old Trafford Stadium.

The results of the clashes mean that Coventry is scheduled to take on Man United and title holders Man City will play Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley Stadium. Both matches have been slated to take place on the weekend of 20-21 April.

For Coventry fans – who have not been able to support their team in an FA Cup semi-final since they won the competition in 1987 – the pressure will be on.
